The Passion of The Christ DVD
Introduction:
The Passion of The Christ is a film about the last twelve hours of Jesus of Nazareth's life. The film opens in the Garden of Olives (Gethsemane) where Jesus has gone to pray after the Last Supper. Jesus resists Satan's temptations. Betrayed by Judas Iscariot, Jesus is arrested and taken back to within the city walls of Jerusalem where the leaders of the Pharisees confront him with accusations of blasphemy and his results in a condemnations of death. Jesus is brought before Pilate, the Roman Governor of Palestine, who listens to the accusations leveled at him by the Pharisees. Realizing he is confronting a political conflict, Pilate defers to King Herod in the matter. Herod returns Jesus to Pilate who gives the crowd a choice between Jesus and the criminal Barabbas. The crowd chooses to have Barabbas set free and to condemn Jesus. Jesus is handed over to the Roman soldiers and flagellated. Unrecognizable now, he is brought back before Pilate, who presents him to the crowd as if to say is this not enough? It is not. Pilate washes his hands of the entire dilemma, ordering his men to do as the crowd wishes. Jesus is presented with the cross and is ordered to carry it through the streets of Jerusalem all the way up to Golgotha. On Golgotha, Jesus is nailed to the cross and undergoes his last temptation -- the fear that he has been abandoned by his Father. He overcomes his fear, looks at Mary, his Holy Mother, and makes the pronouncement which only she can fully understand, it is accomplished. He then dies: into Thy hands I commend my Spirit. At the moment of his death, nature itself overturns.

Who moved the stone ? (Frank Morison)
Introduction:
English journalist Frank Morison had a tremendous drive to learn of Christ. The strangeness of the Resurrection story had captured his attention, and influenced by skeptic thinkers at the turn of the century, he set out to prove that the story of Christ’s Resurrection was only a myth. His probing, however led him to discover the validity of the biblical record in a moving personal way.
Who Moved the Stone is considered by many to be a classic apologetic on the subject of the Resurrection. Monson includes a vivid and poignant account of Christ’s betrayal, trial, and death as a backdrop to his retelling of the climactic Resurrection itself. Among the chapter titles are:
* The Book That Refused to Be Written
* The Real Case against the Prisoner
* What Happened before Midnight on Thursday?
* Between Sunset and Dawn
* The Witness of the Great Stone
* Some Realities of That Far-off Morning

Who Moved the Stone is a well-researched book that is as fascinating in its appeal to reason as it is accurate to the truthfulness of the Resurrection.

The case for Easter : a journalist investigates the evidence for the Resurrection (Lee Strobel)
Introduction:
Did Jesus of Nazareth really rise from the dead ? Of the many world religions, only one claims that its founder returned from the grave. The resurrection of Jesus Christ is the very cornerstone of Christianity. But a dead man coming back to life? In our sophisticated age, when myth has given way to science, who can take such a claim seriously? Some argue that Jesus never died on the cross. Conflicting accounts make the empty tomb seem suspect. And post-crucifixion sightings of Jesus have been explained in psychological terms. How credible is the evidence for? and against? the resurrection? Focusing his award-winning skills as a legal journalist on history?s most compelling enigma, Lee Strobel retraces the startling findings that led him from atheism to belief. Drawing on expert testimony first shared in his blockbuster book The Case for Christ, Strobel examines:The Medical Evidence? Was Jesus? death a sham and his resurrection a hoax? The Evidence of the Missing Body? Was Jesus? body really absent from his tomb ?The Evidence of Appearances? Was Jesus seen alive after his death on the cross? Written in a hard-hitting journalistic style, The Case for Easter probes the core issues of the resurrection. Jesus Christ, risen from the dead: superstitious myth or life-changing reality? The evidence is in. The verdict is up to you.
